For the price we paid, Bootes Cottage was pretty good. The room was impeccably clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, with major attractions just a few minutes' walk away.
The breakfast selection could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable from start to finish. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, exceeding our expectations. the location of the hotel was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the local attractions, bars, and restaurants. We also appreciated the modern furniture and decor, which added to the overall comfort of our stay.
One minor drawback was the noise from nearby bars and restaurants on Friday and Saturday evenings, which could be heard until quite late. there were a couple of appliances, such as an electronic blind and the kettle, that needed replacing or fixing.

The location was ideal, with plenty of great food options nearby and easy walking distance to all the major attractions. The cottage itself was beautifully renovated and had so much potential. The roof window in the bedroom was a real highlight, offering a lovely view. The apartment was also clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the air conditioner, which kept us cool. Despite a few minor issues, such as a hard bed and low chairs in the living space, these could easily be fixed and wouldn't overshadow the overall experience. I highly recommend Bootes Cottage for a pleasant stay in York.

We were thrilled with the central location of our accommodation. Being close to cafes, restaurants, and beautiful shops made exploring the area incredibly convenient. The apartment itself was well-finished and equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
One minor issue was the loose toilet seat, which could use some attention. However, it was a small inconvenience in an otherwise enjoyable experience.
